how to turn BUS2005.create to BAPI???

Dear Gurus:

the business object "bus2005" has the method "create" which create a Production Order. However such BAPI doesn't exist. Is it possible to make it a bapi function so I can call it from java/.net environment? How?

big thanks...

    Hi Jim,

Short answer is no. Welcome to the world of the BOR (Business Object Repository). The create method you have seen which is attached to the production order is actually a workflow method. The BOR in its current incantation mixes both worflow methods and BAPIs in the implementation of the business objects (FYI - I have been meaning to write a blog on this for some time, I will get one out shortly).

To deal with your requirement, however, maybe you could create a planned order via BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_CREATE and then automate the creation of the real production order from within SAP. Otherwise, I guess you will need to create your own RFC to create a production order.

Not sure thats exactly what you wanted to hear, but hope that helps.

    Cheers,

    Brad

      Hello Jim,

You question was interesting. If you see the implementation of the BUS2005:create method, you will see that it actually has call transaction "CC01". I think if execute this method you will get a production order create screen anyway, I guess you didn't want that anyway.

In most of the other cases you will find that it will be BAPI call if that exists. So you are not loosing much in because you are not able to use the BOR method..

      Rgds,

      Samir.

      Regards,

      Samir..

Big thanks to all, your help's been helpful and I'm tryin to figure a way out. My client is currently running a non-sap system which is written in vb6. As I'm tryin to create a interface for them(tryin with the .NET). Which accepts requests from their non-sap to create a production order on sap. I'll look more detail into it. By the day this case is solved I'll post my solution here. thanks again.
