BEx Analyzer Varibale screen cancellation results in inactive buttons

Hi All,

In my workbook when I cancel the variable screen pop up it results in an inactive workbook. That is, after the cancellation the buttons will not work. We cannot do any operation in it. We can only work in the workbook once we enter the design mode and exit from it.

SAP note 413448 says to upgrade patch. But it is for BW system and BW FEP version 2.0. We are on BI 7.0.

Is there any other alternative for this problem.

Thanks and Regards,

Jerry

      Hi Arun Bala,

      > We are currently on BI 7.0 SP 20. Moreover the note does not explain the error after cancelling varibale screen.

      Hm, Is it so. Could be some program error? As in Note 1424498 - BEx Web 7.0: Issues after Cancel in Variable Screen http://goo.gl/Dd8fw. Other option is to personalize the variables.You can check this post for more details. http://goo.gl/g4OQZ. Alternatively have you tried the following :-

      1. In General Tab --> Refresh WB on Open (enable)

      2. In Variables Tab --> Process Variables on Refresh (disable)

      Thanks & Best Regards, @{
