Inbound delivery date update after transportation delay

Dear Gurus,

After having a look into a bunch of documentations, I am still not able not know if SAP ECC provides the following functionnality : once an inbound delivery has been placed within a transport ; iIs it possible that the inbound delivery date can be updated automatically after the transport planned end date has been dalyed?

The purpose here is to get the most accurate inbound delivery date considered by the MRP once a transport is delayed.

If yes, could you please give me some doc links or customizing steps in order for me to implement that kind of automation?

If no, could you please tell me how this functionnal case is generally managed (EDI included)?
