Customize Webi interface

Hi,

We are planning to expose Webi report to our client, when they saw the Webi 4.0 Design Mode, they complaint that the interface is too complex, so we are thinking of using SDK to customize the Web Intelligent interface, is there a way to reduce the top tool bar options? I know i can disable the tool bar options by security, but i not only want to disable, i also want to remove the tool bar options completely. Is it possible?

Nope, cannot customize the Webi viewer.

The SDK is for creating your own applications, not for modifying the applications that ship with the product.

Hi Adam -

Does this mean that Extension Points for JRP and DHTML viewer are not supported for BI 4? I know that these are supported and can be secured at the User Group level to enable/disable viewer and authoring components for the said technology modes so I assume your response refers to BI 4.

There are no extension points available for 4.0.

What is the replacement in BI 4.0 for extension points?

What should I do to customize the Webi interface? or Is it doable?

Currently there is no replacement, there will be something similar coming in the future.
