Change the inspection stock of material xxx in QM only - Movement type 101

Dear all,

I have searched in this forum about the subject issue several times and none of the threads are clearly explaining about this error for the movement type 101. That's why I am raising this issue.

Now my scenario is when I try to receive any material be it Raw material or Finished Product through transaction MIGO or CO11n, system is not allowing me to post the goods. It is giving the error 'Change the inspection stock of material xxx in QM only'.

Please advise.

Its simple,When have a Inspection type 01 or 04 active & if you try to post the material to "unrestricted " instead of "quality stock" system gives such error.

This also happens if you use non QM t codes like MB1B or MB01 etc for posting.

Hii can you please check if Post to Inspection Stock is ticked for 01 and 04 inspection type.

Hi,

As I have told earlier, 'Post to Inspection Stock' is tickmarked for both the inspection types. Also through GR, we were trying to put the material in to quality stock only. But system is not allowing to post the receipt and giving this error.

Ok...Now last thing...

Check when PO or Production Order was created and when was Inspection type 01&04 activated.

If master data was activate after PO or Production Order was generated ,then also you ca face this issue.

We have maintained the master data from date of creating the material itself. We have created P.O. and trying to make GR today only. Is there any other thing which we are missing?

Ok, once you have activated ANY stock related inspection type, (01,02,04,05,08,09) you can no longer use normal material movements to move material into or out of quality inspection stock.

You can only do so via inspection lots or certain transactions like a GR against against an purchase order or production order, a stock transfer, a receipt against a stock transfer order, etc. etc. etc..

When you ran MIGO were you trying to use a special MM or did you just take the default 101. You should just be using the standard 101 in your recipts. You should not be using 321/322.

Dear all,

We have solved the issue with the help of SAP by raising OSS note and they have solved the issue. As per code SAP, one code was missing in the script which was added and problem was resolved.

Hi normally this happens when you try to reverse/ Cancel the document or try to move material from quality to unrestricted through MB1A. You can check if you have auto GR activated for at the time of confirmation and 04 inspection is activated in material master. which is moving the material to quality. But in any of the case it should not give error for 101 movement type. Please let us know for which mvmt type it is happening

Hi,

We are using 101 movement type only for GR. But system is not allowing GR for both Raw material as well as finished product.If I remove the tick mark from 'Post to Inspection Stock' in the inspection set up of material master, then GR happens. But Inspection lot is not getting generated which I don't want.

Please advise.
