Extending Trial Balance Fiori app based on Web-Dynpro

Dear all,
I want to extend a standard Fiori app which is based on Web-Dynpro technology.
The requirement is to add a new dimension to the existing dimension list and to process the new dimension when selected from the user.


App: Trial Balance

Unfortunately there is written, that the app is not suitable to be extended.


Does someone has experience in extending such an app based on Web-Dynpro?
How can I proceed? Or is their no chance to extend this app?

Did you find a solution for this? I have a similar requirement to extend an EHS application which is of Webdynpro type. Please help.
