Hello Friends,

We have PI 7.11 (EHP 1) SP 06. When we try to do change any parameters in the communication channel, it throws the following warning message.

-

Unable to check whether communication channel is compatible with

selected Adapter Engine since version information for Adapter Engine is missing in the SLD.

-

1) We checked our SLD. We could not find any conflicts there.

2) In the Communication Channel (in ID), we see Integration Server as "Central Adapter Engine"

3) In RWB --> Cache Connectivity is Green.

We have done changes in the channel, saved it, activated it, fine earlier. Since last one week this error come suddenly.

Could you please clarify?

Kind regards,

Jegathees P.

You could try to clearing the caches from here:

http://<host>:<port>/dir/support/admin/index.html

-> Select Cache Overview

Also ensure that the Adapter Engine is registered correctly in the SLD -> Technical Systems -> type Process Integration

#1031321 Self-Registration of Adapter Engine and RWB fails

#764176 Manual correction of XI content in SLD

and

selected Adapter Engine since version information for Adapter Engine is missing in the SLD.

Please follow this -

http://<hostname>:<port>;

In the system information page, download the component version information, and check out the version there.

Friends,

We have cleared the SLD Cached and restarted the directory service. After this, this problem has gone. We are able to do changes in the Communication Channel now.

Thanking you.

Hi Bhavani

I checked our components as per the SAP Notes 764176 and 1031321. In SLD, those are correct as per Note 764176. In RWB, it shows Non-Central Adapter Engine instead of Central Adapter Engine. (SAP Note 1031321).

Any clue?

Hi,

This should be a problem in SLD configuration. Some parameters needs to change in SLD level. Ask your BASIS team to look into this.
