Purchasing classification system

Hi,

We have a requirement :

For example in Doosan we maintain clasification

for material --> X name Swith board

So AS-IS Classifaction for this material is

material class 001

product structure

Construction Equipment

Excavator

panel board

switch board

means we will use the Swith board on construction equipment machine - Excavator -- on panel board -- Swith board

Now we purchase the switch board from external from 1 vendor Y korea

but Y vendor Send us all type of material's like Oil, Jigs& Fixtures, Tools, welding materials, and electronics.

So the purchasing team person will contact only below hierarchial person in vendor company :

Company -

Electriclas & electronics --

heavy machine electricals --

panel board/swtich team

So at the end panel board and swtich borad team and not the company president.

The same we wish to show in SAP, for example as classification system, and Vendor and material combination we maintain is Info-records only.

So in Info record we will maintain the classification number for Switch board, so Purchasing person will follow-up with the Switch board team only.

Please let me know if its already present in SAP, or we need to ask for SAP OSS note.

(MY personal Idea

1) create a new class type (Purchasing class), create product structure for Purchasing classification, assign the classification in info-record

2) create new fields in Vendor master record to maintain Company + electrical's department

and create new field in material master to update heavy machine electricals & panel & switch board team)
