Need to create a delta for text change in an order

Hello all,

R/3 allows the user to change the text of a partner function e.g. End Customer on the sales order. When you save the order this text change does not create a delta even if the event VA was envoked. Is there a way to make the delta pick up these kind of text changes?

Thanks

Bryn

Hi Roberto,

The datasource is 2LIS_11_VAITM. The client has added a end customer as a partner function however at order create or change they do change the end customer name (text).

appreciate your help.

Hi Byan,

I am not sure but is <i>Partner Function</i> is somewhat the Vendor? And <b>NAME1</b> is derived from <i>R/3 table</i> <b>LFA1-NAME1</b>?

If I am right, you must use data source <b>0VENDOR_TEXT</b> to capture these DELTAs.

Hi Bryn,

I think Jkyle is right (0BA_PARTNR contains your fields...just check in ROOSFIELD where this field is available!)...

I check in your datasource definition and I don't see any field with this name...so, if this field doesn't belong to the info set of your datasource you have no possibility to arise a delta ! You need to extend your datasource (or better, communication structure) and try to follow something similar that is described in Ajay's weblog (you can see the link in BW SDN home page!)

Hope it helps!

Bye,

Roberto
