Red Light in Event Queue (SWEQADM)

Hi,

We have the event queue switched on (in CRM) to 'space out' incoming workflow events.

All seems fine, but SWEQADM is now displaying a red light:

(green) 1 event still to be delivered

(red ) 215461 events delivered

(green) 0 events with errors

As far as I can see there are no problems - all events have been delivered. So why the red light?

Am I supposed to take some kind of action?

thanks

Paul Bakker

Hi Paul,

It means there is still one event in the queue that is waiting to be delivered. Click on the 'Browser' button and select 'All events' as well as 'Other events' & 'Events not delivered' and you should see the event. What status does it have? Can you manually deliver it?

Regards,

Eddie

Eddie,

I did as you suggested. However, all events have a status of 'delivered' - there are none in error.

I did notice this: when I hover the mouse over the line "215667 events delivered', the text "Delete events manually' appears.

Is it perhaps asking me to (manually) clean up all the delivered events?

cheers

Paul

Hi,

I did a bit of experimentation, and I think I know the answer (but I haven't been able to find confirmation in SAP Help or the Workflow book!).

I believe that normally the event queue is set up to delete events as soon as they have been delivered. We did not tick that box (in the Activation tab), so the number of delivered events have been building up.

When the number of stored events gets large, you get a yellow light, and if it gets huge, it turns red.

I checked this by looking in DEV. As I deleted the events, the indicator changed from red to yellow to green.

So the solution is to manually delete the old events. Just leave (say) the last years' worth.

thanks
