Which trasnaction is used for adding new Materials groups and...

Hello,

I need to add new materials group because I am missing one entry and what I would like to know is which transaction I can use for adding new Materials group and most important: when I add new entry in Material groups does this new entry have any dependencies with other SAP components and is this job only for SAP consultant or it can be done by regular end-user?

Sorry, I know this question might sound silly but I need to know this..
