Adapter Logs

Hi,

We are facing problem with FTP adapter, we would like to see the detailed log of this adapter. The information displayed in the Runtime Work bench is very limited, we are not getting sufficitent information to debug the problem.

Does any one have an idea on

1. Where can we see the detailed log files of adapters?

2. How and where to set the different log levels so that we can get more exhastive logs.

Prahllad

We have checked the logs under the path you specified and also undre xi.logs, we do not have any adapter specific information.

The problem exactly what have is, we have IDOC to file scenario, as per thr log message in the adapter framework

    Time Stamp Status Description

2005-05-04 15:40:35 Success The message was successfully received by the messaging system. Profile: XI URL: http://ztm0042:50500/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI

2005-05-04 15:40:35 Success Using connection AFW. Trying to put the message into the receive queue.

2005-05-04 15:40:35 Success The message was successfully retrieved from the receive queue.

2005-05-04 15:40:35 Success The message status set to DLNG.

    2005-05-04 15:40:35 Success Delivering to channel: Write_MID_Data

2005-05-04 15:40:35 Success File adapter receiver entered. QoS required: ExactlyOnce

    2005-05-04 15:40:35 Success File adapter receiver channel Write_MID_Data: Entered party " ", service "BS_FILE"

2005-05-04 15:40:35 Success Connect to FTP server "ztm0042.services.shell.net", directory "/local/dev/interface/dx5/ixfiles/inbound"

We do not know what is happening after connect to FTP step , the files are not written to the destination folder. We have verified the logon details, directory permissions etc all seems to be fine, but FTP adapter is not writing the files to the folders.

Where can we see detailed log of the FTP adapter, the entries, where it updates the sequence of FTP commands

    Regards

    • The directory path, I given to you, was to see if there is problems with your adapter.

You can see it too : http://<XIServer>:50000/AdapterFramework/monitor/monitor.jsp

What are the parameters for your FTP connection ?

      <u>Choose (for example) :</u>

      Put file : directly

Connection Mode : Per file transfert

      Transfert Mode : Binary

I'm not sure it could help but I have this message when I use FTP adapter :

Connect to FTP server "myFTPServer", directory "/Ftp_Dir"

Write to FTP server "myFTPServer", directory "/Ftp_Dir", file "Fe20050504-170318-564.plc"

Transfer: "BIN" mode, size 871 bytes, character encoding -

      Regards,

      Chris
