How to import .gml files in VS 7.3

Dear Experts,

We recently upgraded from NW 7.0 to 7.0. Are the VC models developed in 7.0 compatible with 7.3?

If yes please guidee me as to how should i import the .gml files from older VC version to 7.3.

Currently i am seeing an option of only importing .zip files. If i add a .gml file to a zip then VC throws and eror while importing the file.

Please help/suggest.
