Setting paragraph property truncates the field when exported to MS word

Hi,

I have a requirement where-in the data must start below it's corresponding label indented 2 spaces from the left, if the data is too long to be fit in a single row.

To implement this, i have defined a formula field and have set the value of the formula as "Label: " + {data value}.

For the requirement to make the value to continue below the label, indented 2 paces, i have set the paragraph property of the formula object.

This is what i did:

Right click the formula object->Format Object->Select paragraph tab and set the following values:

First line : -0.2

Left : 0.2

As a result of this, i am able to achieve my requirement when i run/print the report in crystal report viewer.

But when i export the report to MS word, some portion of the label is getting truncated.

I am using SP2.

Please tell me possible solutions to overcome this problem. Thanks in advance.

More information is needed here. What version of Crystal Reports are you using? Does this affect other export formats? Do you have the full Crystal Report designer, do you see the same behavior there?

    Hi Adam,

    Thanks for replying.

Please find below the required details:

CR version: SAP crystal reports, version for visual studio 2010.SP2, Version: 13.0.2.469

    .Net framework: 4.0

    Office version: MS office 2007

I do not have the full crystal report viewer, i am using a plug-in of the above mentioned version.

Yes, it does have an impact on other export formats.

When exported to MS excel, there are 2 blank spaces before the label (since i had set the paragraph value to 0.2).

As said before, the report is working fine when we viewed in the application or when we print it directly using crystal reports print functionality.

Please let me know if you require any more details.
