How to create Sales Organization for customers

HI I'm trying to create Sales Organization and Distribution Channel. I could create it successfully but when I am assigning this newly created Sales Organization to a customer it is giving message 'Sales area XXXX XX is not defined for customer'

Is there anything going wrong. How to create Sales area for customers. ?

Hi,

Please go to XD02 / XD03 ---> Enter customer No. -->Click on All Sales Areas. It will show you that how many type of sales maintain for Ship to party. If your sales area is not maintain then please maintain your sales area in XD01. and Please check it's Sales organization --> Distribution Channel ---> Division

I have created new Sales Organization, Distribution channel. Now i need to set up Sales Area using these above difined Sales Organization, Dist. Channel, Division.

Can you please tell me how to do that ?

Acces the transaction code OVXG and connect the sales orgn, distribution channel and division you have created.

In OVXG i see only existing Sales Org linked to its Distribution channel and division. I dont see the Sales Organization that I have created .

If you click on new entries and give sales org , Dchannel and Division, that should be fine

OVXG point to Overview: Sales Area

Here i see only following tabs

Assign, Analyze errors, Delete, Select/Deselect, Deselect

I dont see any option to create new entry in Overview: Sales Area

Make sure if common distribution channel [VOR1] and common division [VOR2] have been assigned.
