System not not getting up after DB refresh from PRD to QAS

Dear Expert,

Good Morning,

i have done the DB refresh from PRD to QAS as per DB2 Redirect restore method. Data base has completely restore on QAS system and also db has activated but while i'm running the command startsap then its giving the such mention below error.

please se here below both error file startdb and r3trans -d.

Hi Shiv,

Unable to determine SAPDBHOST; defaulting to 'UNKNOWN' 121 1.379910 4 ETW000 This might be your error.

1). Check in the default profile for this parameter.

2).Please check the file permissions of the dscdb6.conf file. and if required, you may have to follow SAP note 80292. Read it carefully

3).You can also verify the following environment variables.

4).If dscdb6.conf is not present at this location "
mascon-sap2\sapmnt\<SID>\SYS\global\dscdb6.conf", you can create new one by executing the following command.

dscdb6up -create <connect user password> <sidadm password>

Have you edited the .csh & .sh profile and maintained correct schema ?

Hi ,

Please check the environment variables for SIDADM AND ORASID user,

if you are using the unix systems : type env you will get the environment variables,

if the values are wrong ,correct them using the sapenv.sh or .csh file. in /sapmnt/SID/home directory.

Check the sapservice file and check the port numbers to which system it is pointing .

SAPMS<SID> 36<XX>

Please check and let me know is the issue still persists .

Hi,

Most likely this will be schema related issue. Please see whether your QAS system still showing QAS as schema name? Ideally in DB2 system refreshes, you should use your source system schema in your target system. In this case your QAS system, should have PRD as schema name.

Also you need to recreate or update db2db6.conf file with correct info.

- Using vi editor, you have to update that .dbenv_<hostname>.sh and .csh files by logging with SIDADM. Please search in google for vi editor options.

how can i set the environment variable of dsc_db6_schema value

- It is nothing but adding the parameter in above said environment scripts with SIDADM and db2sid.

what is connect user and what is sidadm use for the dscdbup _creat command

- If you have issue in QUA system then you have to use this command in QUA. Connector user is ABAP schema, example SAPR3.

Log out and log in again; the path should now be OK.

If you are working in QA system, then you should use qassid.

As per your instruction i have updated the .dbenv_QAserver.sh and .dbenv_QAserver.csh in both qasadm and db2qas sid but problem is still.

i am sending you lattest trans log there is some diffrence error.

Hi Shiv,

[IBM][CLI Driver] SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "24" ("USERNAME 4 ETW000 51 1.429042 4 ETW000 [dev trc ,00000] &+ AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID").

Looks like user id and password is Invalid for the <db2>adm or not updated. Please update the password accordingly and try again.

What is the owner and group name for dscdb6up. You can change the group and owner using below command from root user.

QAserver:root > chown -R db2qas:sapsys dscdb6up

2). Check the permission on the file or assign the permission as below from root user or owner of the file as

QAserver:db2qas > chmod 776 dscdb6up

Hi shiv ji,

Could you please check the follownign things:

1.Database level is proper or not ......otherwise upgrade database patch .....

2.The file permission level genrelly resets while doing the DBREFRESH ..KERNAL PATCH ACTIVITY .......so kindly check for that as well.

I have found the same issue and it solved by upgrading the database patch level.

problem has been resolved and system gotten to up but when i am configured the TMS, i am getting the error of Runtime Errors

SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC

Exception CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB

Hello Shiv,

It's a known error. Please delete old configuration in Domain controller and reconfigure. It should resolve your problem.

Hello,

For getting rid of this issue you can delete the existing TMS configuration and then add the QAS system to the domain again and the going to transport routes and give the optin adjust with controller.

For deleting the transport domain configuration you can use transaction se06,

In se06 you have to choose option database copy or database migration and give perform post installation actions and except for changing originals from PRD to QAS give yes.

Once you are done with these steps go to transaction STMS and add to different domain and give the details of the domain controller and then go to transport routes page and give adjust with controller menu option.
