Storing SUP credentials on Afaria Server

21 Views

Hi,

I have a quick question to check if it is possible to read SUP credentials (CompanyIDsetting, activation code, URL prefix, UsernameSetting....) from Afaria server using a Afaria mobile device client.

This would eliminate the need for the end-user to fill in all these parameters on the "settings" part of the device (iOS)

I was reading a post on how Afaria accesses ODP (Online Data Proxy) and found code snippets to fetch SUP credentials:

Ex:

1.1.2. (NSString *) getServer

getServer is part of the LiteSUPAppSettings class. This returns an NSString which contains the server IP.

Code Snippet:

// This method returns the SUP server host name.

NSString *server = [LiteSUPAppSettings getServer];

I want to know if it is possible to fetch SUP credentials using Afaria on the mobile device, and then using these fetched parameters login to SUP applications.

Need is to eliminate user having to change/play around with "settings" on iOS devices.

Thanks in advance
