In MRP configuration "carry out over all maintenance of plant parameter" have contained 'start past ' parameter......
I am not understand how and where to use this parameter....
please advice me...
Hello
If this flag is set, MRP may create planned orders with the start date in the past, if necessary, considering the requirements dates.
If the flag is unchecked, MRP automatically changes to forward scheduling using todays date when it identifies that the start date will be in the past.

Start date of past will be considered if this is checked. Else MRP will consider the forward/current date.

In OPPQ, if you keep the indicator "Start in Past" as unchecked then if a planned order with start date in the past is converted to production order, it will use the setting OPU3, how many days in past the your order can be scheduled (start in past, under scheduling control window pane) and if it goes past beyond those many days then it will change the basic dates in the production order to forward scheduling.
But you also need to note that the setting in your MRP group (OPPR) has higher priority over plant setting in OPPQ, so if you want for all the plant to have same settings you need to make "Start in Past" as blank in OPPR, else if you want certain materials to have different setting change accordingly in MRP group and assign the MRP group to material in material master. Also it only makes sense to set Adjust dates as "Adjust basic dates, adjust dep. reqmts to order start date or operation date"

Hi Sudeep jain,
Well that indicator says: In the production order there will be basic dates are there to schedule the Order say:
1) Back ward scheduling 2) Forward scheduling
Depending on the order start dates say if it is do forward scheduling does not pick the if the order start date lies in the past Ok.
If you check this indicator, backward scheduling is always used to determine the basic dates, even if the start date lies in the past Ok.
I hope it clears your doubt..
Any queries please revert me back ok.
