How to :Logging or System.out.println????

Hi,

Iam not able to see any System.out.println output in SAP? where exactly can i see it? any configuration required to enable logging? if so how?? please help

    Hi Sujesh,

    Hi,

    I tried to log some message in log.but it doesnt come..

    my code looks like this..

    ILogger logger = PortalRuntime.getLogger();

    logger.setActive(true);

    logger.info("LOG OUTPUT");

    System.out.println("CONSOLE OUTPUT");

    pls tell me if its correct..

    both messages are not appearing...where exacly will i see the log messages ..pls help

      Try the following example code:

      ILogger defaultLogger = PortalRuntime.getLogger("iview_logger");
      defaultLogger.log("Log Message", Level.INFO);

      Log level can be e.g.:

      Level.INFO

      Level.WARNING

      Level.SEVERE

      You can then view the content of the log file using:

      System Administration -> Monitoring -> Logging Console

    If it still didn't work out for you, you can always use java's FileWriter.
