Hi Experts,
We have a scenario with one of our manufacturing line. There are 4 different raw materials, which can be used alternatively for production (repetitive Manufacturing ). Many times, depending upon the quality parameters, we mix any of these materials that would then be used in production.
Please guide, how should i create BOM in this case, so that accurate costing could be achieved.
Best Regards,
Tayyab
Hi ,
Please use production version with different alternatives of raw material. This will solve your problem. If the quantity of the raw materials are changing frequently then better to change in the order level.

Hi
I believe your requirement is that you will use any one of 4 materials based on quality factor.
I would suggest you to have production version with alternate BOM for each raw material. Once you decide which Raw material to use, just assign the production version with the particular RAW material to Plan order and proceed.
But for costing, could you please say if there would be cost difference if any of these Raw materials are used.
