4.0 Cluster Planning

Hi,

What is the rule of thumb for planning out the number of clusters required for a brand-new, load balanced 4.0 install to support 500 concurrent licenses? And if we wanted to distribute these across VMWare servers, what would the specs (space/CPU/ram) require? Looking for a rough estimate.

Thanks!

phil

Many other factors need to be taken into account. A load test will give you a better idea.

    Very rough estimate:

4 Servers all quad core and 32 GB RAM min 100 Gb Disk.

2 of these servers each hosting a Tomcat, and 2 servers hosting BOE servers as a 2 node cluster with 4 Webi Servers/ node each set to ~50 connections.
