Hello
I will be doing a system copy from Oracle 10g to Oracle 11g. About that I have few questions.
I will have no access to source system, customer will provide an export of their SAP system to me and I will be doing system import. Their SAP version is ERP 6.0 (SAP Basis and ABA stack level is 14, others are SP 6). Source database is Oracle 10.2.0.4.0. My target system will be Windows Server 2008 R2.
I checked SAP Note 1486772 and found out Oracle 10g Patch 4 is not supported by Windows 2008 R2. So I decided to install 11g which is compatible with Windows 2008 R2.
Will be there any corruptions or failures? Is there something that I can do before system copy or should I just follow normal system copy procedures?
My plan is install Oracle 11g, use SAP Master Install DVD, use a custom kernel dvd according to SAP notes and then use system copy option from SAP Master DVD. Are there anything that I am missing or I am doing wrong?
Edit: Do I have to install a fresh SAP on target machine as well or SAPinst installs it while doing system copy?
