Stock in Transit and MRP

Hi,

Will replenishment take into consideration the stock in transit stocks (These are from STO) not the tsock in transfer between plants..

when we ran MRP, it didnt consider the stock in transit values.

We have min/max of 10/20.

We have stock of 3,

STO from that site to DC for 36 qty open (issued out of DC but not received into stores)

Replenishment ran and created PO of 17 even though we Stock in transit for 36 qty.

In MD06, it showed the STO but with exception Message 07. and didnt consider into availability check.

In config for the receiving site, the stock in transfer is checked on and so is the incl in PO has value X.

What I have noticed is that only one type of STO is missing in replenishment (not considered) . We have 3 types of STO. 2 are considered in the MRP availabilty but not the 3rd one. - which are manual STO. They come up in the MD06 list but not considered as availability.

Is there anywhere we restrict PO not relevant for MRP based on the PO type?

The stock in transfer is checked mark for the plant in availability and checking rule.

you may check whether the storage location in this stk transfer order is exempted from MRP

It is not exempted from MRP. Like I said the other external PO and STO come up in MRP run and MD06 list.

Is there a BADi or something to prevent quantity of PO types exempt from MRP?

Hi, In OVZ9 check against the combination of Availability check & Checking Rule, In the tab for Stocks whether 'stock in transfer' is checked or not, if not tick it & try.

The Stock In Transfer is already turned on in OVZ9 for availiabilty 02, this is the availability check maintained in the article master and the CRI of RP / Replenishment.

Is this for both the stock in transit and the stock in transfer??

Hi, Check through path SPRO -> Materials Management -> Consumption-Based Planning -> Plant Parameters -> Carry Out Overall Maintenance of Plant Parameters, Execute and go in maintain after entering your Plant,

There in Planning run column you will find Available Stocks tab click on that & maintain Tick for 'Stock in transfer'

Hi,

Check the settings maintained in transaction OVZ9 to see what all stocks are considered as available stocks.
