Information Broadcasting - New Problems

Environment: BW 3.5

We are currently attempting to implement Information Broadcasting by solely distributing Workbooks. In order to do so, we are heavily reliant on the required "Precal Service." We are using the latest precal. service (BWAPSERV11_0-10002960). Whenever we try to send out a broadcast we encounter the following problems:

- WAS log-in pop-up appears on the workstation that is running the precal service (the broadcast hangs if the "cancel" button is not clicked)

- Workbooks are not precalcuated before they are broadcasted (a static workbook containing only the data from when the workbook was last saved in BEx analyzer is sent out)

- Variants are not being utilized even when selected into the broadcasting settings.

We are unsure if we have miss-interpreted the functionalities of Information Broadcasting, but according to all of the SAP material that we have reviewed, all of the features mentioned above are included.

We are running out of ideas.

Can anyone help us in troubleshooting this problem?
