The secwinad plugin failed to look up the account for the group - Issue

Hello,

I am recieving the error when trying to map a group

the secwinad plugin failed to look up the account for the group

Setup.

1. AD is Windows 2008 x64 bit R2

2. BOE 4.0 SP 2 v9 on Windows 2008 x64 R2

Tried so Far:

1. KB 1199995 - Error: "The Active Directory Authentication plug in could not authenticate at this time" (FQDN registry key)

2. KB 1631734 - Configuring Active Directory Manual Authentication and SSO for BI4

3. As the machine is x64 i added the string called "UseFQDNForDirectoryServers" and set its valye to "True" (this has not worked)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Enterprise\Auth Plugins\secWinAD\

4. Triple checked the guides, made sure my service account was correctly setup "boe" and was starting the service correctly.

5. Checked account with "kinit boe" and it works fine. Enetred password and a new ticked was stored.

6. Both krb5.ini and bsclogin.conf have been checked more than 3 to 4 times and are correct.

I am trying to get AD users to map with kerberos so i can setup SSO later. But i am halted at the Mapping of users.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

thanks

david
