List of roles required to required in BI sysmet for a user to run a query

Hi Gurus,

List of roles required to required in BI sysmet for a user to run a query in BO webi Intel . I am using BOXI 3.0.

How do I check whether report is blocke by an authorisation issue.

Is it possible to restic the user based on query and possble other option pls.

Hi,

I guess you mean BW when you say BI ? (BI was dropped years ago, when SAP aquired BO)

You need to check the Platform Admin Guide (in BI 4.0) or the "Admin Guide for Integration Kit for SAP Solutions" in XI3.1

Hi Shakti,

You can do the restrictions in BI level by adding these authorizaiton components.

S_RS_COMP,

S_RS_COMP1

You have to maintain the InfoAreas, MultiProviders and InfoCubes. In S_RS_COMP1maintain the Owners to restrict in user level

I have both the role for my user. Is there any other thing which in need to look into it. the same query runs in RSRT and bex analyser as well.

1. How do you know it is a Role that is blocking you?

2. What do your BusinessObjects traces say?

3. Have you tried a webintelligence processing server trace ?

4. Enabled the MDA / SOFA log trace to capture the OLAP BAPI exchanges and MDX select statement?

all will be revealed in those.

Hi,

I am using BOXI 3.0.

1. How do you know it is a Role that is blocking you?

I have refreshed the universe and checked the parser also but no issue with it. It runs well with the Administrator user only certain user we get the error "An internal error while calling 'getDocumentInfoMDP' API (error ERR_WIS_30270).

2. What do your BusinessObjects traces say?

I new to BO how to check BusinessObjects traces.
