Is the PCD value constant across users

Hi !

I've a basic question. When an iView is dropped on a page does the PCD value allocated to that iView instance differ for each user/role ?

I want to clip an iView given its PCD value. but if its not contant across users then for me each user has to supply his/her own PCD value everytime they visit my site ?

I'm using java URLConnection to clip the iView.

Any thoughts ?
