Date Parameter Formula

I am currently using Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0 SP02 and I have a question regarding date parameters. I have created a Crystal Report off of a BEx query (using the BICS connection) that displays sales data for a given time period. Typically users run this report for previous days data (e.g. if report is sent on a Tuesday it will be for Monday's data....Reports sent on Monday will be for the previous Friday's data) and send it out. When this query is run through the Analyzer, the user is prompted for a date range.

For this Crystal Report I want to send this data to the users without them having to select a date. The report (that I am creating) will always contain the previous day data. I've scanned the forums and have found some threads similar to what I am attempting to do however I couldn't quite get it to work. How can this be achieved?

Also as far as adding this logic, is it better practice to add this into the query itself or do this programmatically via Crystal?

Thank you.
