back up before installing sp

Hello Experts,

I´m installing for the first time a service pack (5), i know i should back up before i do so, does anyone can telle me step by step how do i back up my BOE?

and if you have any recomendations for installing my service pack they are very wellcome!!

Hi,

you could backup as follows:

1. Stop your SIA

2. Backup your CMS Database using the Backup Methods from your DB Vendor

3. Backup the FileStore by copy/paste via the Windows Explorer.

4. Start the SIA

Afterwards you can start with the installation. Installation Guide for each SP is found on the SAP Service Marketplace.
