Capacity availability check does not match evaluation

Hi All,

i'm using capacity availability check during production order creation, overall profile selected as per sap help: SAPSFCG012.

During this check inside production order requirements shown in finite scheduling differs from results in can see in CM01 with overall profile SAPSFC010.

In CM01 requirement hours are smaller then in capacity check in PO.

Please advise what could be a root cause.

Also, is there a recommended profile for capacity check inside production order and for evaluation?

In OPJK you can specify per order type the overall profile to be used in production orders. You can enter the profile of CM01 here then check.

      Hi Özgen,

but with this profile capacity availability check does not work.

I think i found the problem- i used the report RCCYLOAD to build basic load and then adjusted some settings in current profle so now i can get the same results during capacity check and CM01.

      Thanks for help,

Capacity Evaluation gives the details about the present load/Orders available for the particular work centre.CM01 It gives an idea about the available capacity and the required capacity planned for the work center. And, if you want to change the planned production order sequence or you want to change the priority by prepone or postpone a particular Production order, or adjust over laod you will carry out Capacity Leveling in order to maintain the workcentre and also in over load situations.

Capacity check in Production order is defined to check the availiable capacity and the requirements of the operations with a particular status are taken into account. You specify which status is to be taken into account in Customizing for Capacity leveling in the selection profile via the requirements grouping. If you have not made any setting of your own, only released operations are taken into account.

Hence your profile setting for the capacity may be different

    Hope the information was useful

      Hi Swetha,

thank you, yes this helps, but still a lot of opened questions.

      1. What is capacity leveling profile should be used for capacity availability check?

there are two different available for that:

      SAPSFCG012 and SAPSFCG013.

      2. What appropriate evaluation profile can be used in CM01 to get the same results of requirement hours as i see in capacity check in production order.

The main concern is that this is bad, when in capacity availability check i see one number of hours as requirements and in CM01 i see completely another number of hours as requirements. So i want to have the same number of requirements, and need to understand what profiles to be used.

Also regarding requirement grouping in selection profile, if I have SAPSFCG012 and SAPSFCG013 they have the same profile for requirement grouping but results are very different if during capacity check in production order using one or another above.

So there are opened questions still.
