PR not triggered for operating supplies

Hi Guru,

I have material with MRP type VB, reorder point 250, safety stock 100, Available qty 199. Plan del. time 5 days,GR processing time 1 day, min lot size 50

Why I run MRP(ME57) system doesnt triggered for purchase requisition(PR). where should I check the error?

Hello,

You cannot run MRP using T. Code ME57. It is used for assigning and processing purchase requisition. Please try to run your MRP using T. Code MD02 or MD43 also.

When I execute MD02, system still not trigger PR.

When I execute MD43, system request for qty. It is not a common practise in our company to use this t-code.

Normally our PR based on requirement in prod. order.

Why it behave differently from other operating supplies?because we have other operating supplies can generate PR when we execute MD02.

Can you please provide more details?

You have pointed that "system request for qty" on MD43. Which message is being displayed? Is that a popup or an error message?

Hi,

It is not pop up nor error message but a required field to fill in if I choose Purchase Requisiton button.

When I execute MD43>Procurement proposal>select PR (plan profile LA & PR key NB)>required qty to fill in

Hi,

As your available qty 199 is more than the safety stock 100, though you run MRP pur.req won't get create. Once the stock falls below the safety stock then pur.req for qty 250 which is your reorder point will be created.

ME57 is not the transaction to execute MRP. Please try executing interactively on transaction MD43 to check if there is any error.
