Copying standard dc to custom dc........(error while renaming the appln)

I am trying to customize a standard MSS dc.I have done the coding in the standard dc and my changes are in the activity. Now i want to create a custom dc and copy the entire changes from standard to custom dc.I renamed the components in the standard dc and then tried to copy. The components and the applciation are copied. Now the issue is i am trying to delete the application name in the custom dc to rename it.But while doing this i am not able delete it as a window display saying operation is not possible. and i dint see the checkout button also.

Can anyone help me in this.Or please let me know how to copy a standard dc to custom dc...

    Dear Subrat,

Create the custom DC in nwds. then go to the .dtc folder in C:\Document and setting\<user>\.dtc\find the location of your standard DC OR check the properties of the standard dc right click on DC > properties > info > location path. Open the location path od the satndard DC.

Then copy the _comp folder of the standard DC and remove & then paste in the custom DC. Check the nessary component name which you want to modify.

Now reload and build custom dc in NWDS. it will show same structure and details as standard.

    Hope it will helps

    Best Regards
