Upload of Number ranges.

Hi ,

I have a requirement relating to number ranges in OB08.

We have 150 number ranges which have to create in OB08 for all the asset classes. Now Manually we are creating the number ranges in the Development server. Is there any way/ chance to upload the Number ranges in a single shot like LSMW or BDC?

Regards,

Prakash

OB08 is not relating to number ranges, but for exchange rates. It is AS08.

You do not have any other option, you need to create them manually.

I wonder why are you creating 150 number ranges. Can you please elaborate your business requirement.

    Hi,

AS08 is to create number ranges for assets, but not OB08.

But there is an alternative workaround to upload 150 lines to it.

Follow the below with the help of your ABAP/BASIS resource.

Go to SE16N and enter table name as NRIV

Now enter object name as ANLAGENNR and subobject value 'YOUR COMPANY CODE' and Execute.

Now insert all your number ranges from excel sheet to this table and SAVE (prepare in excel with same format as table fields sequnece)

After that you need to select all entries and choose menu item Table Entry-> Transport -> Select your TR request -> Include in TR and SAVE. (this is must to transport ranges to other clients and systems)

    Hi ,

Number ranges have to be entered manually and cannot be inserted in NRIV table through SE16N .

number ranges are usually maintained manually and there is no upload programme for the same , secondly 150 number ranges is too much , where are you using the same ????

    Cheers ,
