Check at AW01N , your master data such as dep key life etc., and any values are posted or not

    Run AFAB to post depreciation

    Hi:

Settlement of costs to AUC does not mean that dep will be posted to it. Normally we open an asset in AUC asset class if an asset is under construction like factory building or plant . There are ongoing cost to be incurred for a specific time period like cements, construction material , paints e.t.c These costs keeps on accumulating via IO opened for AUC asset in Controlling and at every month when settlement is executed these costs are updated to AUC asset. Once construction is completed and settlement executed in full , transfer of cost from AUC asset is made to a final asset opened for it. When asset gets in commercial usage , this final asset is created to which all AUC asset cost is transferred and hence dep run is executed and posted at the month end using AFAB.

    • Hi:

All you need to do is to create a final asset in desired class and transfer the cost from AUC asset to this final asset using ABUMN. Once you are done with it please make use of AFAB in repeat run for this particular asset and execute the dep run and see the results.

    Hi Singh,

Basically for AUC asset class, dep key 0000 would be used.

Since AUC assets cannot be depreciated practcally.

Please check in your AUC asset's master data, that dep key 0000 must have maintained.

Hope this is clear to you now.

    Regards,

    Srinu

    • Hi Dear,

Internal order settlement :- In standard SAP ,generally we are settle P&L expenses to CWIP ( Asset under constructions) though internal order system, which same P&L expenses transferred to as balance sheet value under fixed asset group. All AUC assets are having depreciation key 0000 or any other key with 0 %.

Once WIP has been capitalized , business user settle the AUC asset and transfer same values to direct asset.

      Process :-

      1. Create new asset under required asset class

      2. AUC Settlement ... AIAB Transaction code ,where you have to select how much amount need to be transfer to direct assets.

after that ,you have to click on settlement button.
