BPC75NW - Reports not executing - CPU at 100%

SP9 and Client 9; recent change from Client 6. Issue: Reports that executed previously with Client 6 will no longer execute with Client 9. Reports freeze upon opening and/or very quickly stop executing with CPU at max 100%. User needs to shut down BPC Excel and relogin.

Has anyone experienced similar difficulties and discovered cause / solutions?
