Hello all,
Our company is considering using Xcelsius 2008 to build a dashboard for real time data.
We do not have the Business Objects Suite so it is just the stand alone Xcelsius 2008.
Currently we have hourly scripts that save out as .csv files with real time data for all of our departments.
We want to feed this data into Xcelsisus and create a dashboard from it so that our management can pull up any data they need without having a report sent to them hourly.
Can this be done? I am new to all this and tasked with researching this as a possible solution.
Thank you,
ynygma
Hi,
Am not sure whether this will work or not but you can give it a try.
keep your .csv file on some of the FTP server. Import this file into xcelsius using Data -> From Text tab in excel of xcelsius. You can check the properties of the connection in Data -> Connection -> Workbook Connections. And then you can map your data with the xcelsius components as required.
I have personally never worked on such scenario. Just giving it a try. Hope this takes you in some right direction.
But, where are you goin to export this xcelsius files?
Regds,
Vidula
