xse 2.0 binary installation windows java hard stop

Hello there,

i'm trying to install hxe 2.0 on a windows 64-bit machine which has Java Runtime 1.8.0_112. the documentation instructs RE 1.8 without going into any further details.

when trying to run the windows executable HXEDownloadManager_win.exe i get the Java error "Java Runtime Environment not valid."

any suggestions?
