MDK Config in NDS

hi,

I have an instance of NW04 SR11 running and on my pc I have NDS 2.0.11 (which came with the MDK). Now I'm ready to do MDK sample app, but what do I specify in the MDK config for:

1) MI home folder

2) MI webapp root (currently says "me")

3) MI webapp tcp port (currently says "4444")

4) AWT Runtime MI home folder

5) MI login name

Hi Mike,

You need to set following things

1) MI home folder - the path where you have installed the MI (e.g. c:\MobileInfrastructure)

2) MI webapp root (currently says "me") - let it remain same, don't change it

3) MI webapp tcp port (currently says "4444") - let this also remain same. This is the port on which your MI client will run by default

4) AWT Runtime MI home folder - set the path of directory where awt runtime is installed.

5) MI login name - user/login name of your client. (You create this from client itself)

Hi Ravi.

Thanks for the info, but I'm still having some issues with the basic MI. Here's the situation...

a) I downloaded MI 2.5 SP09 (294 MB);

b) I downloaded MI 2.5 SP11 (1.5 KB);

c) I downloaded MI 2.5 SP11 Patch (1.5 KB).

I'm expecting to install SP09 and then patch. So I proceed to unzip the 294 MB file, but I'm not sure with setup.exe to run.

I can connect to the WebConsole of my Web AS, so I guess that means its running fine on that server? The only thing, though, is what ID and password do I use to log on to the web console?

I got it to go successfully. Thanks for the help.

One thing I don't really understand is what's the differnece between the two types of installations (AWT and JSP)?

I know technically the difference between the two technologies, but from the MI perspective, why are there two types of setup.exe?

Hi Mike,

As you already know that AWT and JSP are two different technologies, so they have different runtime requirements. For example, for JSP based development you need a servlet engine to process the requests whereas for AWT based applications you don't need any servlet engine. That is the reason they have two different setup.exe files.
