Text Control

I am trying to understand the concept of condition technique being utilized in Text Control but am confused about a few things.

1. What exactly is a text object? Unlike in other condition techniques where there were condition tables and condition records, how do text objects compare against them. Where exactly is the text stored. I know that some of it comes from condition master and material and customer master that makes it a kind of "normal" condition technique but how is text exactly stored. As a row in the column or something else?

2. Then I don't quite get the meaning of "The text determination procedures contain all the text types that can be maintained for a text object"?

Let me reiterate I understand the concept of condition technique perfectly. Thank you.
