full load- duplicate error

Hi,

If R/3 data is loaded to BW infocube through Infopackage (and the processing type is PSA and then data targets).

How it will handle the duplicate data (both TD and MD) in BW . And it will always be a full load andd there is no DSO?

Hi,

if we update the duplicate records by using full update in info cube duplicate records are going to summarized, so we update the duplicate records by using overwrite option so there should be DSO.

Hi,

In case you are loading the master data you need to select the check of ignore duplicate records..in DTP you can have this option. Just that red request in data target should be always deleted when you will load the data again...post failure.

for transaction data as mentioned In Infopacakge there is a option to delete the previous load from that particular Infopacakge load in that Infoprovider..so duplication may not happen..

If you have access to RSPC, you can model a process chain to load data to cube [FULL], and then use a process type called 'Delete Previous Requests' in the target. This saves considerable efforts doing manual action. Hope you got your solution?

he meantioned DSO...not DTP...

BTW, FYI---without DTP , you cannot update to Targets if you are using BI 7.x version.

I think you are new to BI. Better slowly read documents and understand..

Hi Pranita,

Generally this situation is handled in process chain. Using "Delete overlapping request" or "Delete infoprovider content" which will keep only one request at a time in Infocube.

Using this you can easily avoide duplicate entries.

I think there should delta infopackage u should not run full infopackage because it will consume long time to fetch each and every record and DSO should be present in between DS and IC to overwrite the duplicate record . Plz once check in the transformation there is a drop downbox with option overwrite and additive . I think u can over write delta record with full load with overwrite option . Plz once check i am not sure about it plz once check it.
