Hi,
We are in the build phase and I am starting the SNP Alerts with a simple scenario, but, the system is not generating the alert.
Here is the set of activities I performed:
1. Creation of Alert Profile and selection of SDP Database Macro Alert and selected Alert for the supply shortage. Assigned the planning book in the alert profile.
2. Since I created it through my id, the alert profile is automatically assigned to my name. I double checked it.
3. Assigned the alert profile in the planning book in Alert Profile:SDP
4. Make sure that the numbers in the data view have a scenario of supply shortage. Forecast is more than supply and there is negative stock in future time buckets.
5. Executed alert determination in the planning book/data view. But. No Alert got genereated or, displayed. I can see one information message "Internal error analyzing SDP alert".6. Not able to generate the alert through alert monitor too.
Please suggest, if I am missing something?
Thanks,
Amit
Thanks..Have a follow up issue question, and will post as a separate thread.

Hi Amit,
In addition to what Pawan said, you need to execute those alert macros which generates the alerts. In general there is a bcakground job which executes these macros and saves alerts in data base.
In the macro book please check if you have created the relevant macros.
Thanks

Hi Amit,
Do you see the relevant macro for supply shortage in your planning view? I think you must be using the alert "Supply Shortage based on Confirmed Supply", so check for the corresponding macro existing in planning view.
Whatever rows are used in this macro shoudl have got calculated beforehand, so you should also have at least the macro "Stock balance" available in your planning view.
These macros should be default macros.
If the macros exist, then go to the macro book for this planning view, and try to check & regenerate all the macros (or only the relevant macros if you see issues with any macros during checks). May be there is some issue with macros, and it should get resolved now.
I think this should help.
If you only have forecast, then try to have forecast horizon in your material master as zero for your testing, to keep it simple.
Also, make sure that your requirement strategy in demand tab of product master is either 10 or 20.
PS: I am assuming that you have setup the alert profile correctly, meaning mostly that the correct planning book, planning view and the correct selection profile was selected by you.
Thanks - Pawan
