Migrating Tracks from old NWDI to New NWDI

Hi,

We have newly installed an NWDI 7.0 server and able to create tracks with all standard components. However the developers need the old DC`s from the track in old NWDI server to be imported in the new NWDI. Kindly provide me information in how to migrate/copy all the developed DC`s from old server to new server.

Hi,

You can download the Software Component which have the Development Components from the old Track.

To Download the SC:

http://<hostname>:<portno>/SCD/SCDownload

Try downloading the SC from Assembly.

Once you have the SC follow the steps below:

In New NWDI Server,

1.start creating Software Component - Define the dependencies in SLD

2.Create Track in CMS and then add the downloaded SC to CMS/Inbox and import the SC as a component and you have all the DC's from Old track in New Track of New NWDI server.
