Hi All,
This is related to the Leave request application in ESS. I have a requirement where the Duration Label and the number of hrs are to be displayed on the Leave request application second page( for hourly paid employees also).
The duration hrs is calculated (as per the data the user provides on the initial Leave request page) and shown on the second page(ReviewView) for monthly paid employees. This is currently not seen for few employees (hourly paid employees).
I could analyse the java webdynpro application (essleasap.com) and reach the EditView where the initial data is entered by the user. If there is a possibility to unhide this duration label on the ReviewView ,kindly reply. (The visibility criteria to unhide this Duration Label on the ReviewView needs to be known.)
Help appreciated.
you can use personalisation
Also fields can be added accordingly using Ptarq
ESS>Service-Specific Settings>Working Time > Leave Request>Layout of the
Web Application>Define Field Selection
and add that to the absence type in v_t554s_web

Hi Siddharth,
Thank you..
But I would like to explain the scenario in detail. This Duration hrs label is appearing for people under the employee subgroup M1 but not for those who are under the employee subgroup M2 ( as the planned wokring hours for this group is 0 always).
Is there an option to personalise and make this label and the input field (with the value) appear on the ReviewView(2nd step on the roadmap) of the Leave request application.
BR,
Vidya
Hi Siddharth,
Here Employee subgroup 1 and Employee subgroup 2 come under the same rule group.
The planned working time(in hours) is maintained as zero for the employee subgroup 2 due to some business reasons( as they are paid on hourly basis, thier planned working hours is not standard).
To be precise, the Duration Hours label has to be now made visible for the Employee subgroup2 also.
Dear Vidya,
The visibility property of the context node for duration is controlled by the value the context node gets from the model RFC. If the backend RFC sends a value 0 to the model, the field will not be shown in the screen. To achieve your requirement, you will need to explicitly set visibility property to true of the duration screen element in the ackn view of the ess~lea application.
Hope this helps,
Warm Regards,
Roy
