antixsslibrary.dll version 3.1

Hi,

I am trying to install BPC 10 and need the antixsslibrary.dll in version 3.1. On the MS page I can only download 4.x which doesn't work with BPC 10 (I have tried it) and apart from that I only have 3.0 which doesn't work either (I have tried it as well).

Does anyone know where I can download v3.1?

have you already read these two notes:

1679046 - AntiXssLibrary for BPC NW .NET Server

1683717 - AntiXSS Library is updated from version 3.1 to 4.2.1

It seems that you should use 4.2.1 version.

The link from Microsoft where you could download the library seems broken:

Hi Nerijus,

if you are using BPC 7.5 MS then you need 3.1 version, the 4.2.1 is for NW or BPC 10.

You should check note 1679046. See below, it is under rework from SAP right now, so it might be subject to change:

In short Microsoft have ceased a venerable file, and you should upgrade your system to a higher service pack.

Symptom

You want to install BPC NW .Net Server, but you do not have the dependent AntiXSS Library version 3.1, so you cannot proceed.

You want to use AntiXSS Library version 4.2.1, but BPC NW .Net server installation program does not accept it

Reason and Prerequisites

There's one privately reported vulnerability in the Microsoft Anti-Cross Site Scripting (AntiXSS) Library, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2607664 and http://technet.microsoft.com/security/bulletin/ms12-007. Microsoft has ceased providing AntiXssLibrary version 3.x, and all users of the AntiXSS Library will need to upgrade to AntiXSS Library version 4.2.1

Solution

BPC NW SP12 will support AntiXSS Library version 4.2, we recommend to upgrade to SP12 when it's avaiable. If you want to use older support package of BPC NW, please follow the instructions below depending on whether you want to install a new BPC NW .Net Server or upgrade AntiXSS Library of existing BPC NW .Net Server:

Install new BPC NW .Net Server

1. Extract Empty.dll from the attached file Empty.zip of this note, and rename it to AntiXssLibrary.dll

2. Install BPC NW .Net Server with this AntiXssLibrary.dll

3. Download Microsoft Anti-Cross Site Scripting Library V4.2 from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=28589 and install it

4. Use the AntiXssLibrary.dll from folder NET20 of Microsoft AntiXSS Library installation folder to replace the one in BPC NW .Net Server installation folder ( which is by default C:\PC_NW\Websrvr\web\bin)

Upgrade AntiXSS Library of existing BPC NW .Net Server

Follow the last 2 steps as described in the section Install new BPC NW .Net Server.

But I download, the result is a SAR file.

How use SAR File?

I have tried to send it though it strikes me a bit odd that I was asked by someone with an SAP email address .... However, your SAP email server does not allow this type of attachment, so I can't send it.

to install BPC 7.5 for NW 7.01 SP6, is antixsslibrary.dll version 3.1 needed or may be antixsslibrary.dll version 1.5 (as indicated in the SAP Install Guide)?

If the install guide says you need 1.5 then you should use 1.5 and not 3.1. However, I do not have 1.5 so I cannot send it.

You can download the antixsslibrary.dll version 3.1 from SMP.

Go to SAP Service Marketplace under Downloads > SAP Cryptographic Software
