how to trigger custom action on the refresh of standard screen

Hi

Whenever we click on submit of a survey, am calculating the answer score of the survey in After modify of the lead object. it works fine when i After modify event is triggered.

The problem now is for some cases After modify event is not getting triggered. I want to trigger a custom action wheneven the screen refresh happens.

Can anybody tell me on how to achieve this.
