In standard system lower approval can be cancel the release of higher authority is there any restriction in system or authorization object to restrict the release cancellation.
I am not able to test this case, but it would surprise me if the relase code and group are not checked.
the docu says:
Each individual involved in the release procedure signifies approval with his or her release code using a release transaction. Once effected, a release can also be cancelled with the same code (that is to say, the original status is reinstated).
