LiveOffice to Xcelsius through Crystal Reports

Hi All,

Our solution involves feeding data to Xcelsius through Live Office using Crystal Reports.

The crystal reports are directly based on the SAP ECC tables using the "Table, Cluster, Functions" connector.

As a result to get the required data for the specific KPI from the ECC tables the Crystal Reports requires lots of groupings and shared variables.

And finally the Crystal Report displays the required data in group footers, using shared variables.

Now when i import this crystal report into Live Office, it does not treat it as a single part.

But every field is treated as a separate part.

This later causes trouble, as any new rows in the crystal report are not update through Live Office and the Dashboard displays only the initial set of data.

To recreate it just make a Crystal Report with data displayed in group footer using shared variable.

Later host it on BOE and call it into Excel using Live Office. You will see the red comment arrow on top right of each field in excel. That is the problem.

Please let me know if any of you have encountered similar issue?
