Information broadcasting: hide repeated values not working

i have the "hide repeated key values" checked in my BeX query.

but when i create a Information broadcasting setting on this query i see repeated values of the characteristics

Distribution type: Broadcast email.

output format: XML (MS excel)

i am getting an attachment in my SAP inbox

Hi,

In the web, here is an additional setting for the REPEATED_TEXTS_DISPLAY at the analysis grid item. You need to set that to the desired state. As always, the web template setting overwrites the query setting, and if the customer for example uses the default template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN, the repetition texts will not be shown, as the default setting for REPEATED_TEXTS_DISPLAY is set as true for 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN.

The web item 'Analysis' has an own parameter for the suppression of repetition texts which can be found in the item properties in the Web Application Designer. Open the web application designer, open template

0analysis_pattern. If you are using a different template, then open your template. Now goto the analysis grid item, in the left hand side select 'web item parameter' , here set the option, REPEATED_TEXTS_DISPLAY='ON'.

Thanks a lot for the reply.. But i am not using Web application designer. Is there a way i can do it from the information broadcasting setting in Bex??

Dear Crazymatts,

broadcasting in xml format is similar to export to excel functionality in web report. If on export to excel is having the same behavior, then i think the above suggestions provided by venrkadesh will work in your case aswell.
