MRP element blank

Hi,

In MD04, for some line items MRP element came blank. We have rectified the problem. After running MRP, still the line item with MRP element is blank is not getting removed. Kindly suggest how to remove.

I have seen some of them have faced MRP element data was blank but for me its MRP element.

click on the lens. in the small window that open click on the pencil. delete

if pencil icon is not coming probably you wont be able to delete it

Hi,

I run MRP through MD01 with NEUPL. Still mrp element with blank line item remains same.

I cant able to open Element details (Lens).

Any other input to solve the issue?

Is this blank element a sales order or delivery? This is possibly the issue described by note 70408.

Hi Caetano,

Thanks for your mail. I saw your wiki link, its really good job.

For a particular sales order if we run MRP then in MD04 (Second column - MRP element) we should see CusSt, CusOrd and Pl Ord but now system is displaying CustSt and one more line with blank mrp element.

Eg:

30.11.2011 CustSt 0050000689/001100/0000

30.11.2011 0050000689/1100

Where 50000689 is sales order and 1100 is sales order line item.

Now I want to remove the line item which is having blank MRP element.

Kindly let me know any SAP note is available?

Processing key in MD01 only controls what materials need to be included in planning run. Please change the Planning Mode to 3 (Delete and recreate planning data) and run MRP.

Are you using a MTo strategy? Wouldn't that blank planning element represented in blue?

You pointed that this blank plannign element has tha sales order number and it seems to me the special stock segment which is created by the system in case of MTO. Is this element

Yes we are using MTO, blank planning element is in black.

We found the reason why we got this blank planning element. Initially in material master MRP 4 view we maintained collective requirements. After changing to individual requirement, system was giving requirement properly. Now we are trying to remove the unnecessary requirement from the system. But we cant able to remove.

Any solutions to remove the inconsistent data?

Sounds like you created the sales order during the period of time when the material master was incorrect. There is still something inconsistent in the Sales order itself that you have not corrected yet.

Easiest way to re-determine the updated material master data and pull it into the sales order is to go into the sales order item in VA02; remove the plant, press enter, then re-insert the plant, press enter again, then save.

You are correct, ours is MTO scenario. In material master MRP 4 view, initially user has used collective requirement (2). due to this system gave MRP element as BLANK and it was not giving requirement. After changing to individual requirement (1) system gives requirement properly. Now the issue is when I am trying to remove the mrp element which is blank. I could not.

In VA02, plant filed is non editable mode. Is there is any other way to remove the blank mrp element?

If the plant field is un-editable, you either have inadequate permission (not likely) or you have already delivered the order. If you have delivered the order, you should be able to delete the delivery, and then edit the plant field, then re-deliver the order.
