Data disaggregation at aggregation level

We use % Adjustment as one of our adjustment. We mostly use this adjustment at family level. If I enter 10% as adjustment for a family, which got 5 or 6 SKUu2019s,I can see 10% adjustment against each SKU. If we got 20 or 30SKUu2019s in a family, the disaggregation is not doing correctly. I know this is not an issue with config or as its working with small set of data. Anybody came across this problem? if so how did you resolved it. Any help is appreciated.

Thx

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Please go to your planning area and check what "calculation type" has been maintained for this KF "% adjustment".

I am assuming that you would enter the % adjustment mostly at family level (and may be sometimes at other levels), and you would like to see the same % adjustment value at the levels beneath product family (or the level at which you maintain the % adjustment).

If the above understanding is correct, then you should have selected calculation type as A - Average of key figures.

Can you please check and let us know the results of this check?

If you are using A already, then please give some more details of an example to help us understand the exact issue you are facing.

Hope this helps.

Thanks - Pawan

Pawan thx for getting back to me. I was able to resolve this issue, zeroing out the No existing in cell before entering any adjustment. I think its a bug in the system, it was not suppose store the old disaggregation logic.

thx

Thx for your reply. The problem is not with the config of KF. If a family got less no. of SKU's ( 5 or 6), then the disagg is working fine. I can see the same adjustment at each individual sku. In a product family got more SKU's like 15 or 20 , if I set adjustment as 10% @ at family level, and if I check the same at each individual sku, I see 4, 2,4,5 etc., instead of 10 at each individual SKU. As the functionality is working fine for small set of data, I believe its some thing I need to work on hardware or LC side. Pls advice.

thx

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I understand your point of view but since I can't look directly in your system, we would need to go step by step.

Can you please tell me what aggregation type you are using?

Also, did you already check what kind of macros are available in your planning view, and what effect (if any) they could have on disaggregation?

The above 2 would be the most likely root cause for your kind of issue. If not, then may be an OSS note would be required.

What version/patch level is your APO system at?

Thanks - Pawan
